Cockroach = Protein?

This child is killing me today. He woke up at 5 am and was fussy all morning. During breakfast he pulled a full bowl of cereal off the table. I cleaned that up and refilled the cereal bowl. Not 2 minutes later, he pulled that bowl off the table too. By this time I am saying bad words in my head. I take him upstairs to give him another bath. As soon as I get his diaper off he pees all over my floor. I get him all cleaned up and we run the boys to school. We are home for all of 5 seconds when he walks up to me with a cockroach in his mouth. He freakin' ate a cockroach. The leg was hanging out of his mouth. I start screaming. That scared him so he starts screaming. I pick the leg and left over body parts off my child and send him on his way. He walks right over to the kitchen table and pulls another bowl of cereal off the table... More bad words. Who is the idiot that keeps refilling the cereal bowls?! Oh yeah, me.
I take him to the park. He finds the one broken sprinkler and mud puddle. At first I try and keep him away. Then I think, he's already eaten a cockroach and dumped cereal on his head three times, what's a little water and dirt. When it's time to go I strip him down and head home. He falls asleep. He is STILL asleep. Hallelujah!

Disneyland

Disneyland was awesome.....we had the best time. We went straight from our house to disneyland. We got there at about 10:30 in the morning and stayed until about 7. We could tell that first day that we were rookies. We spent a lot of time going back and forth between things. But the next day we got the groove of things. We accomplished way more that second day than the first. Even though we had park hopper tickets we never made it to California Adventures. I know, I know, that sucks but we had so much to see and do in Disneyland and we were having a great time and we were worried about not having enough time if we ventured over there. I do wish we had gotten a 3 day park hopper and next time (yes, I think John is convinced there will be a next time) we will. I can not even explain or go on abot how much fun it was and how much we loved it. And for those of you who gave us tips on the Jedi Training Academy, thanks cause Blake got picked and it was so cool! We also hit the beach while we were there. the boys loved it! It freaked me out a little that they loved the water so much and loved jumping the waves. Don't worry, I am still cleaning sand out of everything!!

Father and Sons

The annual campout is over. In my opinon it should be monthly but anywhoo, here are some pictures. I do need to give a shout out to John for actually taking the pictures. This does not normally happen but I begged. The boys love to camp and always want to stay longer. I also had fun going out to dinner with my mom and sisters and then doing some shopping at the mall. I do not go to the mall often especially with only 1 kid (I tried to convince john tate really needed to go with them but no such luck). Good times....good times

Seriously?

Let me start by saying that although we have traveled to northern california and utah so see family, we have never been on a vacation except for our honeymoon.......eight years ago. We have talked about going on a vacation lots of times. We have pretended we are going to go and we have even told people we are going only to back out at the last minute. I never book the hotel or buy any tickets because I am always afraid something will come up and we will need the money and something always has. Finally, a week from today we will be leaving for disneyland. The hotel is booked and paid for and the tickets are bought.....that being said,

John and I woke up with severe head colds on Monday. We can barely breathe, our throats hurt and we generally feel like crap. Tate puked twice yesterday and today Tyson had been complaining about his stomach hurting. He had some diarrhea this morning but I thought he was fine. I loaded the boys up to go get milk and medicine and when I got to the store and opened the car door Tyson started puking all over the car and me. Don't worry, I found a plastic bag for him to puke in....AFTER he was finished. I ran to my mom's and had to literally hose out the car, my shoes, feet, and of course my shorts. After all that he puked again as soon as we got home. John thought he could pick the other boys up at school but then got stuck at work so I had to go. Tyson puked again in the car (this time in a bag) and then I had to run him inside the school to use the toilet. I had to have the office pull blake and ry out 15 min early so they wouldn't be stuck wondering where I was and so I could get Tyson home asap.

We leave in 7 days. Everybody in this house has 7 days to get every ounce of puke, snot, diarrhea, coughy, germy whatever out of their body before then or I will be so MAD!!!

***It is now Wednesday morning and Blake is puking...bring it on

OH CRAP!

About a month ago I signed up for the St George marathon. So many people sign up that it is a lottery to get in. I just found out tonight that I got in. It's my first time. Like I said before......Oh crap!

Boys will be boys

I walked out of my room today to find Tyson walking along the the outside of the railing at the top of the stairs. I freaking out and I asked him what he was thinking. He pointed to an x-box controller he had tied (and by tied I mean it was hanging loosely with no sort of knot anywhere) to the end of the railing and said he was going to swing from it. Seriously? !?!

A Visit with the Greats

Playing ball in the backyard

Our boys with the Grandpa and Grandma Great

Every time I see a picture of our family I just can't believe how many of us there are!!

The kids with Grandpa Johnson who john hasn't seen in years.....

John and I headed up to Utah this weekend for our new nephew's baby blessing. We haven't been up there in a while and we were excited to see John's family. We had a great time staying with his great grandparents and seeing John's sister and her family (her baby is sooooo cute). She has three boys so for right now there are 7 grand and great grandsons. No girls (and none coming from me either!)! The boys had a great time roaming the neighborhood and going back and forth between the houses (they live in the same neighborhood). The only hard part about the trip was tater. He was fussy the WHOLE time. I should have gotten a clue he would be that way on the way up. He was fussy in the car and I gave him a new can of cereal puffs to shake. He took the lid off and dumped them out. When I turned around to say no, I was hit in the face with a fistful of flying cereal puffs. I turned around and john and I about died laughing as puffs were flying everywhere. Tate was really mad and apparently that is how he was expressing his anger. We did put a stop to it but honestly, it was hilarious. Anyways, he pretty much cried the whole trip unless he was by me or john and that really isn't like him. I had to keep swearing that he really is a mellow kid who usually will go to anyone (I'm thinking I really didn't succeed in convincing people of that). All in all, we had fun and will be going back as soon as we can.
