Tater

While I have 4 boys and it's true that we have had our share of stitches, staples, a broken femur, and a body cast, I have never had a true climber. I can not turn my back on this kid for 2 seconds without him climbing up something. It's getting to be a lot of work. A few days ago I was filling up the tub for Tyson and I walked in and found Tate, fully dressed and already bathed sitting in the tub. It's the tub in my room so the side is pretty tall. He now regularly climbs in when it is empty and tries to climb up the bathroom counter (which luckily he can't do...yet). Shopping carts can not keep him contained. I buckle him tight and he can wiggle his way out and stand up. His newest trick is climbing on the arm of the couch and jumping onto the cushions. He's not very steady and I'm waiting for the day he falls the wrong way and ends up on tile. Let's hope we don't end up back in the ER.

I will come into the kitchen and he will be walking around on the table. It takes him 2 seconds to get up there.

This is his scariest trick. We have now decided to ditch the high chair. It doesn't matter how tight he is buckled...he will get out.

His new trick...

He tries to climb up the counter from the dishwasher but hasn't been able to yet. We don't give him enough time to figure it out.

That is my #3, Chase. He walked at 9 months and still climbs EVERYTHING!
This was just this week:

Despite that the fact that he is driving you insane, he is so stinkin cute! If it gets too bad, box him up and send him our way, Lindsey especially would love to see him, and I am sure he is itchin to poke her in the eye. And by the way, whats with me saying stinkin and itchin, have I been living in Texas too long? I sound like a dork!

I love Tate! He is so cute! He's totally a climber... he loved standing on the train table at my house. Luckily it's only like 5 inches off the ground... so if he did fall he'd be fine. I swear I was watching him! Gage was a climber and I could NEVER take my eyes off him! It was scary, and also super draining! Can he get out of his crib yet?

Oh little Tate. I just want to squeeze his cheeks and kiss him all over. I love all the pictures.

Seriously, your kids are so adorable. Tate is almost as cute as my Tyler :) We are in that whole climbing phase too. And what's with all the bruises and scrapes boys get??? After 2 girls, I'm not use to this. I guess boys will be boys.

my little seth is a climber too, but all my boys have been climbers. i have started removing my drains to keep him from drowning sometime. if you have the push down kind, you can just turn them and they unscrew! your boys are so cute. we are in the same boat with all this (soon to be) testosterone!
